The Assistive Devices Program (ADP) in Ontario is a government-funded program that provides financial assistance to Ontario residents who require an assistive device, such as a walker, to help them with their daily activities. The goal of the ADP is to help people with disabilities maintain their independence and participate in their communities.
To qualify, an individual must:
Furthermore, to qualify for the ADP, an individual must be assessed by a physiotherapist who is an authorized assessor for the ADP. This physiotherapist will determine if a mobility aid is required, and if so, which mobility aid is best suited to help the individual. If appropriate, the physiotherapist then completes a form, which the individual can take to an ADP authorized vendor and obtain a mobility aid at a reduced cost.
We are authorized assessors for mobility aids under the Assistive Devices Program (ADP) in Ontario.
If are looking to be assessed by a ADP authorized physiotherapist for a mobility aid, such as a walker, call us today.
We will talk you through the process of having a portion of your mobility aid covered by the ADP program and take care of all of the paper work.
