Leah McDonell

Leah is a passionate physiotherapist who was drawn to the field of physiotherapy with an eagerness to help people recover from their injuries, achieve their goals, and improve their quality of life. Leah graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics, and went on to obtain her Master’s of Health Science in Physiotherapy. Since graduating, she has gained experience working in both private and public settings, and is currently working at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital. Her role ranges from seeing patients in stroke rehabilitation and acute care, to those with orthopedic conditions such as post-surgical patients, patients who have chronic injuries, and other neurological conditions. She has a special interest in helping those with neurological impairments, and is now expanding her role to see patients in their own homes. Leah has a warm and compassionate attitude, and believes in fostering functional recovery by promoting independence in everyday activities
